Why Interviews are Still Vital in the AV Industry
So much of the AV job landscape has changed due to the increased demand for integrator services during the pandemic. Coupled with the ongoing lack of awareness about employment opportunities in the industry, some integrators find themselves in need of guidance amidst these changes. What are some recent industry changes on the integrator side? Some are small scale changes like digital job applications while others are more broad, like the proliferation of online job boards, LinkedIn and social media, where the search and discovery of jobs occurs around the clock. In the midst of these changes, many areas of the job market still remain by the book. Interviewing represents one of these tried and true areas. Thanks to the internet, the process of finding candidates has become optimized and improved upon. While the process has become more efficient, knowing the right interview questions from the wrong ones is still just as vital to your success as an integrator.
