Our Brooklyn Client is a specialty electronics design and integration company focusing on high-end residential and light commercial projects. In particular they specialize in the design, installation and maintenance of distributed video & audio systems, private theaters, media rooms, lighting, shading and environmental controls as well as data, phone and video services infrastructure.
This position is a trained technology professional responsible for combining their technical expertise and craftsmanship to deliver, reliable, easy to use systems for the company’s clients. The Technician is a hands on self-starter who plans their work, uses skill and creativity to solve problems, and deliver client systems on time and on budget.
Establishes and maintains positive, professional relationships with clients, site supervisors, project partners, and other trades.
Demonstrates the company’s commitment to superior service through sensitivity to client requests and needs.
Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential and/or commercial electronic systems installation or service.
Ability to visualize the sequence of work and convert it to a measureable plan and schedule.
Ability to work under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities.
Ability to communicate effectively in person and/or via email, phone, or text to varied audiences.
Knowledge of residential systems integration including audio/video, lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone and computer networks including the ability to setup, configure, calibrate, and commission equipment after physical installation.
An understanding of signal flows and control systems for distributed audio, video, and home theater systems and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints, electronic schematics, and user manuals.
Knowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods for new and existing construction.
$50,000 to $65,000 per year. DOE
